Change comes from an Exchange

Change that makes “cents” in God’s “economy.”
I love to listen to Jon Coursen, Searchlight Ministries. “He” was teaching us this morning at our breakfast devotions in 1 Kings about The Heart. In so many words he came up with this:
God will change my heart,
When I change my mind.
God will not change my heart,
If I don’t change my mind.
It’s back to that “free will” that he gave us, it just keeps getting us into trouble. The choices that we make can bring “life” or “pain & destruction.” Wow, does that sound harsh?
King David lived wholehearted. He was an imperfect man but, he was “all in” when it came to who God was and His place in David’s heart. I guess God can work with that. As for Saul & Solomon, God could only be effective with those who will devote their hearts to him. I think that He can use the percentage that we give Him but, He wants all of us…and as we ignore His prompting for life, we are eroding the connection to where and what He has for us.
Change comes with an exchange, prompted by your heart & soul, by changing your mind, and completed by God with a change of the heart. That is the hope that brings life.
A whole heart is priceless and is attainable in God’s economy.
What do you want to exchange, for change?
